WASO presents a free evening of classical music at Claremont Park

The Town of Claremont presents “A Night on Bay View”, a free performance on March 9th from 5pm – 8pm in Claremont Park. Featuring all of your classical favourites performed by the seminal Western Australian Symphony Orchestra, the whole family will enjoy this unforgettable, moonlit concert.

The music

The evening will feature a program of notable works from beloved classical composers Mozart, Bizet, Tchaikovsky and Handel. Modern favourites including Copland’s “Rodeo: Hoe Down” and Grainger’s “Irish Tune from County Derry” will also be featured in this exciting program from WASO.

Internationally acclaimed vocalist Fiona Campbell will also make an appearance, performing stunning renditions of “Climb Ev’ry Mountain” and “Edelweiss” from The Sound of Music amongst other classical favourites.

What to expect

Food will be available for purchase at the park from 5pm before the concert’s 6pm start. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic chairs, blankets, food & drink and anything else that might make their evening more enjoyable.
