ROSALIND TJANYARI

Artist | Rosalind lives at Indulkana in the APY lands around the border of SA and NT. She lives with her family and friends. Her mother and grandmother
are ngangkari (traditional healers).

Artwork | This depicts Rosalind's love of going into her country to find minkulpa (traditional bush tobacco) it only grows in cool places close to water.

Artist | Janine McAullay Bott is a national award-winning fibre textile artist, whose works can be found in public and private collections worldwide.

Artwork | Janine's sculptures are inspired by memories of her mother's stories of her Nyoongah culture and the importance of the land and its people.

Spinifex Grasses.

Artist | Selina was born in 1977. Her traditional country is Antarrengeny in Alyawarr country, north of the Utopia region in Central Australia.

Artwork | Selina's painting illustrates the landscape of her country and the spinifex bush that grows there in abundance. The spinifex grass grows about 40cm high. The plant is only used for minor purposes, but is important as a vector for fire.

HELEN PULA RUBUNTJA

Artist | Helen was born on Ammaroo Station and is now an artist at the Ampilatwatja community in the NT. Helen depicts the Dreaming stories from her grandmother's country in her paintings. She is the niece of Wenton Rubuntja, who was a well-known artist and a key figure in the land rights movement.

Artwork | Helen has painted bush flowers that grow in Alyawarr country, some of which are used as bush medicine.
