Bridgetown

With quaint preserved buildings and manicured gardens, this town appears stuck in a bygone era. You’ll find craft shops, cafes and galleries, plus the old gaol and visitor centre to provide you with your history fix!

Bridgetown is home to the Brierley Jigsaw Gallery, the largest collection of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere- and features one of the smallest jigsaws in the world. The town is known for its chilly winter weather, and locals have been seen yarn-bombing (wrapping in yarn) some of the trees. There are plenty of campgrounds, bed and breakfasts, motels and a heritage hotel to choose from for accommodation in and around town.
