This is due to the unique composition of only hardwood fibre and polypropylene (hard plastic) versus others which are softwood and polyethylene
(soft plastic).
DuraLife is a very rigid board with long span, reduced expansion/contraction, and high slip resistance. All boards have a 25-year warranty.
