It doesn't get much better than being immersed in a crowd, drink in hand and enjoying incredible live music. After an unfortunate hiatus due to COVID-19, music festivals are finally making an exciting comeback to WA. Festival season is back, but act quickly to avoid missing out on fast-selling tickets including local and international artists. Check out the best of upcoming musical festivals in Perth, with tickets on sale now.

1. Good Day Sunshine Festival

September 24
Taking over the Busselton Foreshore, Good Day Sunshine Festival is a celebration of good times and good music. Set over the long weekend, it’s the perfect chance to book a weekend getaway in WA’s South West. The lineup features Leon Bridges, Thelma Plum, Siobhan Cotchin and more, plus there will be plenty of food stalls and bars for the day. Come down, listen to live music that feeds the soul and kick back with friends and family. Plenty of tickets are still available, but we recommend grabbing yours now to plan the weekend in advance.

2. Listen Out

September 25
Making most of the September long weekend, Listen Out is making a big comeback to HBF Arena. Known for its incredible electronic/dance lineups, Listen Out is Australia’s major national dance music festival. Their 2022 lineup features some big names, including Disclosure, Culture Shock, and The Jungle Giants. A sign of the festival's popularity, tickets are on their final release, and we recommend picking up your tickets ASAP.

3. Wine Machine

November 26 
Hosted in the Swan Valley, Wine Machine showcases Australia's finest musicians, set to the backdrop of the beautiful wine region. The WA lineup includes iconic Australian musicians such as Lime Cordiale, San Cisco, and Flight Facilities, with the full line-up to still come. Food trucks are available throughout the day, with plenty of bars to purchase a bottle of the region's incredible drops to share with friends. Enjoy garden-party picnic ambience by day, with the real party beginning after sundown. After many unfortunate postponements, Wine Machine is a must-visit for the spring. Grab your tickets here.

4. Grapevine Gathering

October 1
Grapevine Gathering is returning to Sandalford Wines this October, hosted by Aussie online comedians The Inspired Unemployed. Joining the lineup are The Veronicas, Peking Duk, The Kooks and Ball Park Music. Wine lovers will be pleased to know that there will be samples of the finest wines from the region for your tasting. The food selections are mouth-watering too, with wood-fired pizzas, gourmet pizzas and plenty more to choose from. Tickets are on final release, so snap up a ticket to avoid missing out.

5. Festival X

December 4
From the creators of Stereostonic, Festival X comes to Burswood Park this December. It includes a star-studded lineup, with performances from global super-stars Calvin Harris and Megan Thee Stallion. The complete lineup presents the very best Hip Hop, Dance, EDM and Electronic music across multiple stages. Kick off summer in style, with a music festival full of energy. 6. Falls Festival

January 7 & 8
After a hiatus, Fremantle's biggest festival is back next January. Kicking off 2023, the two-day festival will land in the heart of Freo at Fremantle Park. Falls Festival will be back and bigger than ever, with an exciting lineup of big names, including Lil Nas X and the Arctic Monkeys, as well as Aussie locals Ocean Alley, Spacey Jane and DMA's.
