The UWA Cultural Precinct oversees exhibition programs and collaborates on music, theatre, publishing and broader events that take place throughout the year. It manages the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery and the three major cultural collections, whilst also overseesing the sculptures, murals and artworks across the grounds and buildings on the Crawley campus.

Western Australia’s first and most highly ranked university is a hub of cultural activity for students and the public alike. UWA is home to some of Perth’s premier arts events and festivals, such as the Perth Festival, the Perth Writers Festival and the Lotterywest Film Festival.

The university founded the first international arts festival for Perth in 1952, elevating the city’s cultural status and positioning Perth as a destination for arts.

This historic commitment to the arts is not only reserved for the summer festivals; the university campus is abuzz with events and activities programmed by on-campus cultural agencies and faculties.
