Bayside Gallery, located in the Brighton Town Hall, serves as a key venue for high-quality temporary exhibitions, public programs, and visual arts events in Bayside, New South Wales. It is an integral part of the Bayside City Council Art and Heritage Collection, which not only supports local artists and arts organizations but also provides visitors with the opportunity to interact with significant artwork. The collection is showcased in various locations, including the Council's Corporate Centre in Sandringham, libraries, heritage buildings like Billilla and Black Rock House, and local historical societies.
In addition to the official Bayside Gallery, there is an artist-run space facilitated by volunteers from the Artscape Bayside Lofts community. This alternative gallery aims to foster a community that actively participates in cultural and creative endeavors. It is home to a diverse group of creatives, encompassing painters, writers, musicians, designers, photographers, illustrators, and more, who are residents at 30 Merchants' Wharf. The management of this space is currently overseen by Alea Drain, Alison Conway, Rea Kelly, Darren Rigo, and Jim Taylor, with a focus on hosting exhibitions and events while reserving certain areas for Artscape Bayside residents.
