Parks in Bendigo Surrounds

Bendigo, Victoria, is surrounded by beautiful parks and gardens that offer a variety of experiences for visitors. Lake Weeroona is a favorite for active families, offering a picturesque walking trail looping the lake, an adventure playground, and beautiful picnic areas. Visitors can also catch a vintage tram to the lakeside stop for a true Bendigo experience. Just four kilometers from the CBD, Bendigo Botanic Gardens feature an Arch of Triumph constructed as a WWI memorial in 1925. The garden has been recently restored and now includes a Garden for the Future, inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

Additionally, the Greater Bendigo National Park surrounds Bendigo and includes the former Whipstick Forest and Kamarooka State Parks, conserving some of the highest quality Box-Ironbark forest in the area, along with broombush mallee, grassy woodlands, and Kamarooka mallee.
