The Sydney Tramway Museum, situated at Loftus in the southern suburbs of Sydney, provides a nostalgic and educational insight into public transportation in Sydney during the period of tramway operation. The museum houses an extensive collection of Sydney trams from 1896 to 1952, as well as trams from other cities such as Brisbane, Melbourne, Ballarat, Adelaide, San Francisco, Nagasaki, Berlin, Munich, and Milan. The museum also features Sydney's last remaining double-deck trolley bus. Visitors can enjoy tram rides from the museum to Sutherland and the Royal National Park. The museum opens and operates trams on Wednesdays, Sundays, public holidays (except Christmas Day), and selected weekdays during school holidays.
