Located just 15 minutes by boat from Lord Howe Island, the Admiralty Islands are a group of volcanic formations that offer some of Australia's best diving spots.
The islands are known for large pinnacles, coral reefs, and diverse marine life. Divers come from far and wide to this area for its rich, diverse marine life. There are around 25 dive sites scattered around the atolls, including Noddy Island, Rupert's Reef, Sugarloaf Island, Tenth of June Bombora, Tenth of June Deep, Flat Rock, and North Rock. These spots offer incredible diving opportunities, as they are rich in diverse marine life. There are larger schools of fish, and diving depths range from 15-40 meters.
The Admiralty Islands can be visited year-round due to its tropical climate, with average temperatures remaining around 25 degrees Celsius.
Access to Admiralty Islands is through Lord Howe Island. Intrepid travelers can take a 2-hour domestic flight from Sydney or Brisbane to Lord Howe Island. Alternatively, from Sydney or Brisbane, Qantas and Rex offer flights to Port Macquarie, Newcastle, Coffs Harbour, or Norfolk Island. From there, it is possible to fly to Lord Howe Island. Once on Lord Howe Island, the Admiralty Islands can be reached by a 15-minute boat ride.
