Description

Alma Park Uralla is a peaceful and relaxing place to visit.

Located at the corner of Queen and Hill Streets, the park is an iconic Uralla landmark with grand old trees and flowers. It was established in the 1880s and named after Alma O’Connor, the mayor's daughter. The park is adorned with brightly colored flower beds in spring, making it a perfect destination for a relaxing walk or picnic.

Locals and tourists can enjoy a leisurely walk on a meandering pathway through the park, passing by the locally forged iron lace rotunda and down to the picturesque Uralla Creek. There is also a slightly challenging walk around nearby Mount Mutton, making it a great spot to relax after the hike.

The park is open to the public year-round. In October, it hosts activities as part of the Thunderbolt's Festival, including markets, rock wall climbing, and entertainment for families.

Alma Park offers various facilities for visitors, including toilets, a children’s playground, and two free electric barbeques. It provides a peaceful and relaxing place to take a break, with ample space for caravan and campervan parking.

To get to Alma Park, visitors can go one block from Uralla’s main street in the Uralla Shire. Ample parking is available on-site. For detailed travel or tourist information, the Uralla Visitor Information Centre is located on Bridge Street.
