Description
Anderson Park Brunswick has recently undergone a major refurbishment, including the creation of a new playspace.
The park was reopened on Thursday 21 December 2022 and is now ready to welcome visitors.
Temporary flags have been strung around the central lawn to protect it until the grass has grown sufficiently. Once the grass is ready, the flags will be taken down, and the lawn will be accessible for visitors to walk, sit, and play.
Planting of trees and garden beds will take place from March-April 2023. This is because the previous landscape works finished later than expected, and the hot and dry conditions during the summer are not ideal for the establishment of new plants.
Visitors to Anderson Park Brunswick can enjoy a range of activities. The park offers a new playspace for children of all ages and plenty of green spaces for picnics, walks, or relaxation. The refurbished park also includes new seating throughout, providing visitors the perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by.
Anderson Park Brunswick is a great destination year-round, but the grass will be fully established by mid-summer, making it more accessible for visitors. Those interested in seeing the new trees and garden beds should plan their visits for March-April 2023.
Anderson Park Brunswick is located in Brunswick, a suburb of Melbourne, and is easily accessible by public transportation. Visitors can take a train to Brunswick Station and then walk to the park. There is also ample parking available nearby for those traveling by car.
