Aotea is a modern and spacious single-storied house located in Lake Tekapo, New Zealand.
The house is wheelchair-friendly and convenient for elderly guests. The open-plan living area boasts a superb central kitchen, toasty log burner, generous lounge seating, and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer stunning views of the mountains and the lake. The house has five bedrooms, three bathrooms with a shower and a hairdryer, and can accommodate up to ten guests. Towels and bed linen are provided in the holiday home. The house is air-conditioned, and a terrace is available on-site.
Aotea is not suitable for electric wheelchairs. The name Aotea is derived from the Maori language, which means "white cloud" and is also the name of one of the mighty migratory canoes that brought the first Maori people to New Zealand. The house is available for rent, and the standard rate is NZ$325 per night for two people. Additional guests are charged NZ$35 per night, and children above six years are charged NZ$35 per child, per night. Infants under six years stay for free, and a service fee of NZ$15 is added to the booking total.
