Description
Step back in time and visit the historic Homestead, built in 1896 by the Durack family.
This grand building includes a cool breeze corridor and six rooms. In the early 1970s, it was relocated due to the creation of Lake Argyle. Now, the Homestead is a museum, filled with artefacts, a family tree and a video that tells the story of the Argyle Dam. Take a break in the tranquil garden and keep an eye out for the native Bower birds. Open from April 1st to September 30th, the Museum is a great place to learn about the history of the Kimberley region and pick up a unique souvenir.
