Mermaid Pools Arakoon is a stunning natural formation located on the NSW Mid North Coast, Australia.

This natural wonder is known for its clear blue waters and idyllic location perched atop a rocky beachside. Though coveted by many visitors to South West Rocks, at present, Mermaid Pools is not a designated tourist spot, and there is no public access to the pools. Access to the Pools has been permanently closed due to concerns for visitor's health and safety.

Mermaid Pools is a place of rugged beauty where you can take in sweeping ocean vistas, exceptional rock formations and the raw power of the sea. The area is popular with experienced surfers, rock-climbers and hikers for its challenging terrain and breathtaking panoramic views. The best time to visit Mermaid Pools is during the summer when the weather is warm and sunny. Keep in mind that the site is not publicly accessible at present due to its dangerous currents and tides. If you want to visit the surrounding area, nearby Trial Bay and Front Beach are excellent options for swimming and a day on the beach.

Mermaid Pools is located in Arakoon National Park on the NSW Mid North Coast. Though the area leading to the pools is currently closed, you can still take in the stunning views from nearby cliffs and beaches.

Mermaid Pools is an extreme location with rough currents and tides, no lifeguard service, and emergency services receiving minimal access. Visitors should steer clear of the area and find safer swimming spots on the nearby beaches of Trial Bay, Front Beach
