Description
Biamanga Cultural Area, previously known as Mumbulla Creek Falls and Picnic Area, is a serene location in Biamanga National Park.
It is a sacred site for the local Aboriginal Yuin People, and visitors are advised to show respect when visiting. The park features a boardwalk leading to a viewing platform over the falls, non-flush toilets, and free gas barbecues, making it an ideal spot for a picnic or walk. Interpretive signs and an information shelter provide insight into the area's Aboriginal heritage.
The main attraction at Biamanga Cultural Area is the 225-metre boardwalk leading to the viewing platform. From there, visitors can enjoy a stunning view of a dramatic gorge and granite boulder field with cascading water. The area is part of the legacy of an ancient shield volcano, and its Aboriginal heritage is conveyed through interpretive signs and an information shelter.
Visitors to the park can enjoy a paved picnic area at the beginning of the walk, along with non-flush toilets and shaded areas. Free gas barbecues are also available. The park's serene ambiance allows for a peaceful lunch while exploring interpretative signage that provides insight into the park's cultural heritage.
It is a great location for birdwatching, and visitors are encouraged to bring binoculars for a closer view of bird activities.
