Heart Cafe

Heart Cafe is a social enterprise eatery located in Bondi Beach, New South Wales, owned and run by Eastern Suburbs not-for-profit, Wayside Chapel.

The cafe was established to provide employment opportunities and training for disadvantaged youth. The venue is a big, open-hearted room with a light and bright atmosphere, located on one of the best corner sites in Bondi. The cafe is open seven days a week from 7 am to 4 pm. Heart Cafe offers a range of breakfast and lunch options, including vegetarian and vegan dishes. The menu features a variety of dishes, such as smashed avocado on toast, eggs benedict, and acai bowls for breakfast, and burgers, salads, and sandwiches for lunch. The cafe also serves a selection of coffee, tea, and fresh juices. One of the unique features of Heart Cafe is that it is a social enterprise, which means that all profits go towards supporting the Wayside Chapel's youth program. The cafe provides a supportive environment for young people to gain valuable work experience and training, with the aim of helping them to secure long-term employment. The cafe also hosts regular events and workshops, such as barista training and cooking classes, to support the local community.
