Description

Red Beach Bongaree is a hidden gem located in the picturesque Bongaree village of Bribie Island.

This eight-kilometre beach is accessible via Tully Street, after a leisurely walk through lush vegetation that leads out to sandy shores. What sets Red Beach apart from other beaches in the region is its dog-friendly policy. Families can enjoy a day at the beach with their furry friends; they can run and play by the water's edge and even take a dip with their owners. Red Beach's long stretch also provides ample opportunities for those who like to explore. If you are keen on taking a long walk, after a few kilometres, Red Beach meets up with Woody Bay, which connects to Woorim Beach. The scenic views and calm waters make Red Beach an ideal place for those who like to photograph the serene beauty of the surroundings. The easiest way to get to Red Beach is by car. Visitors coming from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast can take the Pacific Highway, then take exit 152 towards Bribie Island/Caboolture. Alternatively, bus service is available to Bribie Island, and local taxis are readily available to ferry visitors to and from the beach.
