Bribie Island National Park and Recreation Area

Bribie Island National Park and Recreation Area is located in the Moreton Bay Region of Queensland, approximately 68 kilometers (42 miles) north of Brisbane.

Covering approximately one third of Bribie Island, the national park is home to a variety of unique flora and fauna. The region consists of tidal wetlands along with protected areas of water surrounding the island, which are part of the Moreton Bay Marine Park.

Access to the park is possible by a 4WD from Woorim on the east side of Bribie Island. Additionally, there is an Inland Track that extends from White Patch in Banksia Beach to the top of the Ocean Beach camping area.

Bribie Island National Park and Recreation Area is an ideal location for camping. The park comprises of several camping grounds, including Poverty Creek which has 12 campsites along with an open camping ground that can accommodate up to 80 people, Gallaghers Point includes six campsites, Lime Pocket consists of six sites which are only accessible by boat, and Ocean Beach with 63 camping sites. Mission Point, which has 12 campsites, is only accessible by boat, and it has picnic tables, fireplaces, and toilets. Generators are not permitted, and visitors must bring their firewood.
