Halcyon House

Halcyon House is a stylish boutique hotel located in Cabarita Beach, New South Wales, Australia.

Originally a small surf lodge called the Hideaway Motel, it was transformed into a beautiful seaside hotel by sisters Siobhan and Elisha Bickle in 2011, with the help of architect Virginia Kerridge and interior designer Anna Spiro. Halcyon House opened in 2015 and offers exuberant quarters with blue-and-white interiors and a mid-century, Slim Aarons glamour vibe. The rooms have a new-school Aussie aesthetic and are not nautical-twee. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, spa, and restaurant/bar on the property. The hotel provides an experience of uncomplicated luxury reflective of Australian summers gone by. Located on Cabarita Beach, it is one hour's drive from Brisbane and 15 minutes south of Gold Coast Airport.
