Kamarun Lookout

Kamarun Lookout is a scenic destination located in the Green Mountains section of Lamington National Park, Queensland, Australia.

It is 110 km south of Brisbane and can be reached by traveling 27 km along Lamington National Park Road from Canungra, then turning left into Kamarun Lookout Road and following it for 850 m to the lookout.

The lookout offers impressive 200-degree views of undulating hills, craggy peaks, and patchwork valleys. Visitors can search the sky for soaring wedge-tailed eagles and other birds. The sunset at Kamarun Lookout is particularly dramatic, and photos are fantastic at any time and in any weather.

Kamarun Lookout is a peaceful stop before the crowds at O'Reilly's Plateau. There is a picnic setting in the roundabout road, but no washrooms. Washrooms are available 10 km further up at O'Reilly's. Visitors can enjoy a picnic at the lookout and take in the stunning scenery. During this time, the weather is pleasant, and the skies are clear, making it ideal for sightseeing and photography.

To get to Kamarun Lookout, visitors can drive from Brisbane to Canungra, then follow Lamington National Park Road to Kamarun Lookout Road. The drive is scenic, and visitors can enjoy glimpses of the stunning scenery out over the valleys. Visitors can also take a hot air balloon ride from the Gold Coast to enjoy a bird's eye view of the landscape.
