Description

Two Towers Dive Site Cairns is a popular spot for scuba diving and snorkeling.

It is known for its striking collection of bommies or coral heads. The site comprises two prominent pinnacles or towers that rise 20 meters above the seabed. These pinnacles are covered in beautiful corals and have an extensive variety of invertebrate species and reef fish. Divers often get to see sea snakes, reef sharks, stingrays, turtles, trevally, barracuda, batfish, mackerel, and schools of yellow-lined snapper. The site also has vibrant soft corals and hard coral formations, as well as lionfish, scorpionfish, nudibranchs, and flatworms.

Two Towers Dive Site can be visited throughout the year, but the best time to dive here is during the dry season, from June to October. The water temperature ranges from 18-30°C, with an average visibility range of 15-30 meters.

The Two Towers Dive Site is located 33 km northeast of Lizard Island, in the Ribbon Reefs. It is accessible by boat, and liveaboard trips can take travelers directly to the site. Visitors can fly directly from Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane to Cairns Airport, and from there, they can take a boat or a liveaboard to Two Towers Dive Site.
