Welcome to Cape Hillsborough National Park, located in the Mackay Region of Queensland, Australia.

Cape Hillsborough National Park is situated 837 km northwest of Brisbane and covers over a peninsula of volcanic origin. With a maximum elevation of 267 m, the park is widely covered by rainforests. The nearest town is Mackay, which is situated approximately 40 km away from the southeast boundary of the park area. Cape Hillsborough National Park is located within the O'Connell River water catchment area and the Central Mackay Coast Bioregion. As of National Parks Day in March 2010, the government has added 204 hectares of land to the park. The annual precipitation within the park is approximately 1106 mm.

Cape Hillsborough National Park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including around 140 bird species, 22 types of mammals, 25 species of reptiles, and 8 species of amphibians. Sand bubbler crabs often leave their artistic markings behind in the sands of Cape Hillsborough's pristine beaches during low tide, and there are many other fascinating creatures for visitors to discover within the tidal rocky pools. From tranquil natural walks to lively animal encounters, the park offers visitors a chance to experience fun and adventure while engaging with nature.
