The Royal Oak Hotel Cessnock is a relaxed bar and restaurant at the gateway to the Hunter, approximately 15 minutes from the Hunter Valley wineries and 1.5 hours from Sydney.

With the largest hotel wine and cocktail list in Cessnock, enjoying a cocktail whilst listening to quality local music is the perfect way to end a day at the wineries. There is a children's playground as well as a pool room for family outings. The hotel is happy to accept large group bookings. The hotel offers two dining options, Ziggie's Cafe and Royal Oak Bistro. The Bistro serves a mix of contemporary Australian cuisine, quality modernized hotel cuisine and wood-fired pizza. There is something for everyone on the bistro menu. Cocktails flow regularly at the front bar in the evenings with relaxed live music. Currently, due to the cold weather in the Hunter Valley, the breakfast cafe is only open on winter weekends.
