Golf Course Lookout Christmas Island is a popular hiking destination on Christmas Island.
The hike offers panoramic views of the north-east coast and provides opportunities to spot seabirds. The hike begins from the car park off Quarry Road and ascends to a cliff above the golf course. Seabirds such as golden bosuns, frigatebirds, and red-footed boobies can be spotted along the way. The best time to visit is between March and October when the weather is dry and pleasant. To get to the lookout, turn west at Drumsite near the airport and follow the designated roads. It is important to have a 4WD vehicle to navigate the rough terrain. The walk grade is moderate to difficult, and the walking time is approximately 15 minutes. Visitors should bring enough water and snacks for the hike.
