If you're looking to explore the northern section of the Daintree National Park and continue on to Cape York, the Daintree River Ferry is the perfect way to get there.
Operating from 5am to midnight daily, the ferry can carry up to 27 vehicles across the river in just five minutes. It's the only cable ferry in tropical Australia, located approximately 50 kilometres north of Port Douglas. The ferry is operated by a commercial contractor on behalf of the Douglas Shire Council - so hop on board and get ready for a unique journey!
