Lake Broadwater Conservation Park in Dalby is a unique spot to relax and appreciate nature.

It is the only natural lake in the Darling Downs region and covers an area of 2,760 hectares. The park is known for its semi-permanent freshwater lake ecosystem, which fills only after heavy rains and can be up to three to four meters deep. It is home to numerous species of waterbirds and wildlife, with over 230 species of birds recorded in the park. Visitors can enjoy a stroll along a two-kilometer track or a five-kilometer self-guided drive, especially during the wet season when birdlife is abundant. The park offers picnic areas, an elevated bird hide, and a well-maintained recreational facility. It is open year-round, with the best time to visit being between March and November. Lake Broadwater Conservation Park is located around 18 kilometers south of Dalby and can be easily accessed from the Warrego Highway. It is approximately a two and a half hour drive from Brisbane.
