Max & Me

Max & Me is a Barossa winemaker specialising in Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and olive oil from Boongarrie Estate.

The winemaking philosophy was shaped during formative years growing up in the Barossa Valley, then further honed in overseas winemaking experience in the famed Napa Valley, Burgundy and Stellenbosch districts and local winemaking stretches at Yalumba, Peter Lehmann Wines, Teusner and Vickery. Decisions are particularly guided by a ‘tread-softly’ philosophy to the land management, and in focussing wine styles for fragrance and grace.

Selecting Eden Valley as home reflects their shared love for the beautiful, rugged and soulful landscape, and the striking and poignant Shiraz, Cabernet and blends and Riesling the region regularly achieves. “We want to move carefully with everything we make, and not clutter the simple beauty our wines. By not using any finings, all of our reds, our ’20-’22 Rieslings and our olive oil are vegan friendly”.
