Description

Bungo Beach, also known as Keefe's Pinch or Keith's Pinch Beach, is a secluded beach located on the edge of Twofold Bay in Eden.

It is a popular destination for both locals and tourists due to its beautiful surroundings, sandy beach, and off-leash dog-friendly area.

To reach Bungo Beach, you can take the Bundian Way Story Trail walking track or drive via the Princes Highway. The Bundian Way Story Trail offers a glimpse into Aboriginal heritage and history, with a 1.8-kilometre walk through coastal bushland and access to secluded beaches. Bungo Beach is roughly halfway along this trail. If you prefer driving, you can turn off the Princes Highway onto Quarantine Bay Road and follow an unmarked dirt road to a small car park.

At Bungo Beach, you can relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. The beach is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and picnics with family and friends. It is also a great spot for dog owners, as dogs are allowed off-leash all year round. While there are no facilities at the beach, you can appreciate the expansive views of Twofold Bay, one of the deepest natural harbours in the southern hemisphere.

Bungo Beach can be visited throughout the year, but the best time to go is during the summer months for warm and sunny weather. Bungo Beach Eden is a beautiful and historically significant spot that can be accessed via the Bundian Way Story Trail or the Princes Highway.
