Description

Welcome to Emu Park Historical Trail, an interesting trail that takes you through the history of our town.

This trail is perfect for anyone who loves to learn about local history and see historical sites.

The Emu Park Historical Trail will take you to various historical sites, each with its own unique story. You can check out landmarks and buildings such as the School of Arts, Imperial Hotel, Catholic Church Precinct, Railway Precinct, and many more. You can also visit the Ladies and Men's Beaches, Fisherman's Beach, Jetty, and Bell Park.

Emu Park Historical Trail is open all year round, and you can choose any time of the day to take your walk. If you're in town, you can easily access the trail by foot. There are QR codes on Eric the Emu, or one of his 20 strong family, that you can scan to get more information about the trail. You can also drop in at the Emu Park Museum for a brochure with a map. The museum also has a beautiful book with all the sites and information, if you want to learn more.

As you walk along the trail, take time to appreciate the historical significance of each site. Enjoy the scenic views and take lots of photos. If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of Eric and his family, who have been getting darker as they mature. They start out a very light rusty red, but as they age have become a lot darker. In the late afternoon, they almost look black like some of the old man emus that roamed freely around this area up until a few years ago.

We hope you
