Attractions

Description

Whalebone Beach is a remote, scenic beach sometimes used for fishing.

Whalebone Beach is a scenic beach stretching between rocky headlands in a remote part of the park. When the access track is open it can reached by four-wheel-drive, otherwise on foot via the Hakea Trail. The walktrail winds through vegetated dunes behind the beach and then turns inland at Whalebone Cove and leads to a camping spot for hikers.

Your safety:

• Coast Risks and Cliff Risks are significant in this park.
• This is a remote trail with limited vehicle access and no water. Walkers need to be suitably prepared, self-contained and fully self-sufficient.

Caring for the park:

Please clean footwear and equipment at the start and finish of any walks you do in natural areas to prevent the spread of Phytopthora dieback.

Getting there:
Vehicle access to Whalebone Beach is four-wheel drive only and may be closed during wet weather.
