Description

Trousers Point in Flinders Island is a popular destination known for its beautiful beaches, clear waters, and stunning views.

The area is also famous for its unique rock formations that attract visitors. One of the main attractions is Trousers Point Beach, which is known for its crystal-clear waters, white sand, and the mountain that rises from the ocean. Visitors can enjoy activities such as swimming, sunbathing, and walking along the shoreline. On the other side of Trousers Point is Fotheringate Bay, which features granite caves and offers a picturesque setting for picnics and leisurely strolls.

The Trousers Point Walk is a 1.5-hour circuit that is classified as a Level 2 walk. It is considered one of Tasmania's Great Short Walks and takes visitors around the point from Trousers to Fotheringate. The track has some rocky sections that can be slippery when wet, so caution is advised. Visitors are also reminded to stay on the track and supervise children due to steep cliffs in certain areas. The 60 Great Short Walks app can be downloaded for free from the iTunes Store to assist with navigation. Visitors should be aware that park entry fees apply and can be paid at Service Tasmania in Whitemark. Those with an 'Annual all parks card' are advised to bring it and display it on their vehicle. Amenities such as toilets, drinking water, and gas barbecues are available at Trousers Point. Camping (unpowered sites) is also permitted, and picnics can be enjoyed at Fotheringate Beach
