Murray River National Park is a protected area that offers a serene experience of South Australia's floodplains.

Spanning over a vast network of wetlands and floodplains, the park covers an area of over 14,879 ha (36,770 acres) and encompasses six river sections.

Katarapko is the largest section of the park, covering 9,500 ha (23,000 acres) and offering the Ngak Indau Wetland Trail for bird-watching and Indigenous cultural sites. Lyrup Flats, located midway between Berri and Loxton, provide opportunities for cycling, bird-watching, and bush camping.

Bulyong Island is a tranquil section accessible only by boat, offering a picturesque riverfront experience. Paringa Paddock, featuring Goat Island, is a large area between Renmark and Paringa, perfect for walking, bird-watching, and bush camping. Gurra Gurra is a small yet significant section south of Berri, known for its unique flora and fauna.

Kingston-on-Murray, located next to the township of the same name, offers a blend of historical significance and natural beauty.
