Description

Located in the stunning Wooroonooran National Park at the Goldsborough Valley in Far North Queensland, Australia, the Kearneys Falls is a breathtaking cascade waterfall.

It is situated on a tributary of the Mulgrave River, making it a tranquil destination surrounded by lush natural beauty.

Accessing Kearneys Falls is an exciting experience as it involves a 1.6 km (0.99 mi) walking track that needs to be traversed. The walkway, although a bit challenging, is well-maintained and easy to follow. Due to severe damage caused by Tropical Cyclone Larry and Tropical Cyclone Monica in 2006, the camping facilities and walking tracks to Kearneys Falls had to be closed. Kearneys Falls has an interesting history. It was named after Frank Kearney, a grazier who lived in the Mulgrave River area, and who sadly passed away in 1918. Today, the falls stand as a testament to the region's natural beauty and are a popular tourist spot for visitors to the area.

Kearneys Falls is a must-visit destination for those who appreciate nature and tranquil surroundings. So, put on your hiking shoes and head to the Wooroonooran National Park to witness the magic of the Kearneys Falls.
