Ikuntji Artists

Ikuntji Artists was the first art center founded by women in the Western Desert Art Movement. In the 1980s, women at the Haass Bluff Elder Care Center began painting. Instructed by their husbands and fathers and often helping them to finish their paintings. In the early 1990s, these women decided to start their own art center.
