Description

Living in the Rangelands Walking Trail is a medium hike that allows guests at Skytrek Willow Springs Station to explore the rugged terrain of the Flinders Ranges.

The 12km one-way trail offers a moderate degree of difficulty, with steep inclines, uneven surfaces, and narrow passes. Along the way, hikers can enjoy breathtaking views of the Flinders Ranges and pass through several gorges. Bird watchers will also have the opportunity to spot native Australian birds. The trail is open year-round, but the best time to hike it is from April to October. To access the trail, visitors should check in with the caretaker at the Skytrek Willow Springs Station Caretaker's Office, located approximately 21 km north of Hawker, South Australia. Maps are available at the caretaker's office, providing information on the trail's route, duration, and points of interest.
