Description

Lowe Square Howlong, a reserve donated by Mr Lowe in 1861, has become the town's sporting and recreation hub.

It was originally the site of the Howlong Golf Course in 1928 and now offers a space for various sporting activities and outdoor recreation.

Visitors to Lowe Square can enjoy watching local football and netball games in the cooler months, while the summer months offer opportunities for cricket and swimming. The square also features a pony club, BMX park, tennis courts, and a skatepark for families to enjoy. Additionally, a permanent public outdoor ping pong table has been provided through the Youth Opportunities Program 2018.

Lowe Square is open year-round, with different activities available depending on the season. To get there, visitors can take the Murray Valley Highway and turn onto Hawkins Street, following signs to the square. Non-self-contained vehicles can park nearby, as the local dump point is also located within the reserve.
