Nestled just south of Port Macquarie on the Mid North Coast, Queens Lake Nature Reserve Jolly Nose is a tranquil and unique destination.
The reserve features lush vegetation, including old growth gums and dense rainforest, providing a diverse habitat for wildlife. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities such as picnicking, swimming, fishing, and boating on the pristine lake. The reserve is also a great spot for wildlife and birdwatching, with over 200 species of animals to be found. The best time to visit is during autumn and spring, although the reserve can be enjoyed year-round. Accessible by car or bus, it is a short drive from Port Macquarie and approximately 4.5 hours' drive from Sydney along the Pacific Highway.
