Description

Immerse yourself in literacy and arts these school holidays.

Choose from seven free school holiday activities at the Museum of the Goldfields.

Inspired by Mary Albert's book 'How the Birds Got Their Colours' and compiled by Lofts Pamela, follow the birds and other animals around the Museum's garden and find out how they got their colours.

Activities
  • Embark on a colourful journey of collaboration with our interactive weaving activity! With the existing frame, children join forces to weave their unique patterns together, creating a masterpiece that's a true celebration of teamwork and creativity.

  • Step into our quiet corner designed just for you. Here, you can relax with your favourite books in our cozy reading nook and embark on exciting adventures with jigsaw puzzles.

  • Bring the Goldfields landscape to life! Add to our collaborative artwork by decorating bush leaves and animals.

  • Let your creativity shine! Use Posca markers to add vibrant colours to Nullarbor beads, then turn them into stylish necklaces or bracelets.

  • Get ready to bring a cheeky Tiddalick to life. Create your very own version of this mischievous frog, and let your imagination run wild!

  • Unwind and relax as you dive into our colouring activity - where every page is a creative masterpiece.
