Description
Frere's Crossing Bushwalk Kentlyn is a nature lover's paradise.
The light-grade bushwalk takes you through stunning bushland to the Georges River. The area is filled with native flora, including Gymea lilies, fuchsia heath, and grevilleas, surrounded by scribbly gums and grey gums. Wildlife such as wallabies, birds, and possums can also be spotted along the trail. One of the highlights is the remains of Frere's Crossing Bridge, named after early settler George Pierre Frere. The best time to visit is during spring when the wildflowers are in full bloom. Frere's Crossing is located in the southern suburbs of Sydney in Kentlyn and can be accessed by car or public transport. For more information about the bushwalk and other areas along the Georges River, contact the Campbelltown Visitor Information Center for a copy of the Georges River Recreation Guide.
