Rainforestation Nature Park

Rainforestation Nature Park is a popular tourist attraction located 5 kilometres away from Kuranda in Far North Queensland, Australia.

The park showcases the wonders of the World Heritage-listed rainforest and offers visitors a glimpse into indigenous culture and Australian wildlife. It opened in 1976 as Mountain Groves and has since expanded to provide a range of unique experiences.

One of the park's main attractions is the Army Duck Rainforest Tour. This tour takes visitors on a thrilling journey through the rainforest on an amphibious World War II Army Duck. A knowledgeable guide provides information about the local flora and fauna, and the tour continues on a lake, passing through a tropical fruit orchard.

The Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience is another immersive cultural encounter offered at the park. Opened in 1993, it takes visitors on a journey into the Aboriginal people's culture and history. The Pamagirri Aboriginal Dance Troupe performs at the park's rainforest amphitheatre, showcasing their mesmerizing dances. Visitors can also learn to play the didgeridoo, throw a boomerang, and witness the art of fire-making.

The Koala and Wildlife Park, opened in 1996, allows visitors to see Australia's unique animals up close. Elevated boardwalks guide visitors through the park, where they can encounter crocodiles, koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, dingoes, wombats, cassowaries, lizards, and snakes. Close-up encounters with koalas are also available for those seeking an unforgettable experience. With attractions suitable for all ages,
