Welcome to The Lakes National Park, a stunning national park located in the East Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia.

This park is a great place to visit, situated approximately 245 km (152 mi) east of the capital city of Melbourne.

The Lakes National Park is set on the east shore of the Gippsland Lakes, encompassing two stunning bodies of water - Lake Victoria and Lake Reeve. Visitors are treated to fantastic views of these spectacular lakes while enjoying the park's 2,390-hectare (5,900-acre) area. The park is also home to Sperm Whale Head peninsula as well as Rotamah and Little Rotamah Islands, adding a postcard-perfect scenery to your experience.

This park is jointly managed by Parks Victoria and the Gunaikurnai traditional owners, ensuring its cultural significance is well-preserved. Initially, the area covering 1,451 hectares (3,590 acres) was set aside as a nature reserve in 1927, and it was later proclaimed as a park in 1956. In 1978, Rotamah Island and Little Rotamah Island were added to the national park, increasing its size.
