Description
The Western Escarpment Walking Track in Malabar Headland National Park is a short 1.15-kilometre trail that connects South Maroubra Beach and Malabar Beach.
It offers stunning scenery and natural landscapes.
Visitors to the Western Escarpment Walking Track can enjoy bird watching, wildflowers, and coastal views. During June and July, humpback whales and seals can be seen migrating. The area is characterized by sandstone cliffs, escarpments, and historic structures. It is a great spot for nature lovers, with the chance to see various wildlife and protected vegetation.
The Western Escarpment Walking Track is open year-round and provides an alternative to the closed Boora Point Walking Track when the ANZAC Rifle Range is in use. It offers beautiful vistas and panoramic views of the surrounding nature.
To access Malabar Headland National Park, you can drive, take a bus, or ride a bike. Parking is available near Malabar Beach and South Maroubra Beach for those driving. Bus riders can catch a bus to Anzac Parade near Franklin Street, Malabar. Bike riders have access to a bike path connecting Maroubra Beach and the national park.
