Lenthalls Dam

Located in Duckinwilla, Fraser Coast Region, Queensland, Australia, Lake Lenthall is a small-sized lake created by the Lenthalls Dam.

It has a surface area of 766 hectares and is primarily used for the town water supply for Hervey Bay and surrounding townships. Despite its small size, the lake fills up quickly due to its catchment area, reaching 100% capacity in a short amount of time. In January 2013, it experienced its highest recorded level of 30.4 meters due to heavy rain. The lake is stocked with various Australian native fish and is home to a diverse range of aquatic species, reptiles, insects, birdlife, and mammals. Visitors can also spot the black-breasted buttonquail in the surrounding rain forests. Lake Lenthall offers a unique opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the Fraser Coast Region.
