Description

Maydena Bike Park is one of Tasmania's premier mountain bike destinations, situated in the Derwent Valley.

It offers visitors a unique experience with its extensive network of cross-country, downhill, and enduro trails. The park has over 75 individual trails, catering to riders of all abilities. Families can enjoy beginner trails, while advanced riders can tackle more challenging terrain. The park's signature trail, the Maydena Gravity Trail, features an 820m descent and is one of the longest trails of its kind in the world. Additionally, the park offers bike hire, a retail bike shop, café, and bike school, as well as a pump track and skills area for riders looking to improve their technique.

Maydena Bike Park is open all year round, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, seven days a week. The best time to visit is during summer (December to February) for the warmest and driest weather. Winter (June to August) can be cold, but the park remains operational. Spring (September to November) offers mild weather and the opportunity to see blossoming flora and fauna in the rainforest.

To get to Maydena Bike Park, it is approximately a 1 hour and 20 minutes' drive from Hobart. Guests can travel by car, take a bus, or join a tour. Hobart is a popular entry point for many international tourists, and the drive to the park offers beautiful countryside views of the Tasmanian wilderness.
