OwnersJohn Kirkpatrick and Patricia Mullins bought the young vineyard of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon vines in 2005. With winemaker, Owen Latta, nine vintages have been produced since 2008. While the Black Mares Shiraz wine remains a favourite, EQUUS’ Cabernet, Sangiovese, and Nebbiolo have excited many palates.,Patricia is an award-winning children’s book illustrator and writer. Her books can be purchased at the Cellar Door. She is also an acclaimed expert in the field of rocking and carousel horse history and restoration. Visitors can experience the Museum of Wooden Horses which opened in 2016.
