Description

Dirt Candy Wine is a husband and wife run, small-batch, artisan wine producer based in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia

HISTORY Growing up in the Hunter, winemaker Daniel has long been passionate about both wine and food. After completing several vintages at local wineries whilst studying teaching, Daniel realised a career change could be in his future. The undeniable pull to the wine industry saw Daniel later undertake a winemaking degree at Charles Sturt University. During his studies he completed further vintages in the region whilst developing his own individual style of winemaking which he brings to the Dirt Candy brand.

Daniel's wife, Jenni, brings design and marketing expertise to Dirt Candy. Daniel and Jenni are joined by their three children, who provide constant inspiration for the Dirt Candy wine styles and endeavour to drink as much grape juice as possible during vintage.

Although based in the Hunter, they love expressing the individual characteristics of different locations. They source quality grapes from many stunning wine growing regions in Australia to create wines that reflect the vineyard from which they came. Each of these wines are handmade in small-batches, ensuring that they maintain a high level of control throughout the process.
