Description

Gosling Creek Reserve, located south of Orange along Forest Road, is a must-visit environmentally based recreational facility.

The Reserve is an excellent place to appreciate nature while enjoying open spaces, walking and cycling paths, picnic areas, barbeque facilities, play equipment for kids, and so much more!

Gosling Creek Reserve was reclaimed from being a pine plantation, and visitors can now experience a wide variety of native vegetation as part of a regeneration program. Take a stroll through the Reserve's walking tracks and see unique wildlife such as birds in their natural habitat. The Reserve also features a bird hide with two viewing platforms, one overlooking the reservoir and the other overlooking a wetland.

Gosling Creek Reserve's reservoir is regularly stocked with Golden Perch (Yellow Belly) and Trout, providing a great opportunity for visitors to cast their lines and try their luck at fishing. Fishing is permitted from the foreshores, and visitors are urged to follow NSW fisheries regulations.

To protect the Reserve's wildlife, dogs (including dogs on leashes) are not permitted. Gosling Creek Reserve in Orange is open all year round. Gosling Creek Reserve is accessible from the city via a shared cycle/pedestrian path. Visitors can either walk, cycle or drive to get there.
