Description
Paul Cozens, AKA Dr Cuz, is launching his eclectic new album Many Faces 1 - with the help of a few creative friends. PLUS special previews of 2 local films: Anticipation and Elvira.
The album was produced by Peter Renzullo of Scudley Records, who also contributed drums, bass, keyboards and guitar to songs such as the sass-laden FunkyDisco Party, Hard Times (a song about homelessness in London which features rapping from Cozens’ nephew, Riley, AKA Denots), Do I Believe in Love, a jazz/blues number that incorporates a very George Benson-like scat, and the acoustic blues of Spot On 2.
Cozens’ Dilip n the Davs bandmates feature on the tracks Spot On, Cultivate Some Motivation, Revolution, Love And Understandingand Freo Mojo. While on tour in WA, Sunshine Coast reggae band Mufassa (whom Cozens has also performed with) rather appropriately contributed to the song, Reggae Music.
While it’s a solo LP, Many Faces 1features 22 musicians across its 12 songs and its sense of community is very much encapsulated in the closing track, Love The Life You Live.
