Description
The Ngalaka Daa Ensemble program focuses on sharing Noongar language and culture, offering participants intensive development in theater, performance, and language skills at a professional level.
Successful participants engage in a series of workshops and rehearsals, culminating in curated public performances. As members of the ensemble, participants receive training from industry leaders, covering various aspects such as performance preparation, vocal and movement techniques, Noongar language comprehension, acting styles, and ensemble work.
Participants will attend workshops and rehearsals which will be held outside of school hours from 23 April – 3 August 2024.
At the conclusion of the workshops, participants will perform a collaborative theatre piece at Western Australian Museum‘s Hackett Hall.
In-person auditions will be held on Tuesday 2nd of April and Wednesday 3rd of April 2024 at King Street Art Centre, Perth.
